Pawan Kumar Chamling

Under the able leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Pawan Chamling, the state of Sikkim has been experiencing a massive transformation in all sectors. Sikkim ranked the number one state in 2006 among twelve eastern states of India for primary health, investment environment, budget and prosperity. Pawan Chamling has empowered women politically and economically by according 40 percent reservtion in Panchayati Raj and 30 percent in the government employment.
All in all, Sikkim has undergone vast development in the twelve years that the Dr. P. K. Chamling led Sikkim Democratic Front has been in power.
