POLITICAL MELTING POT
Ranikor has become the political melting pot, ever since the Legislative Assembly representative, Martin Danggo has resigned in a mysterious manner, as his resignation letter has travelled all the way to Kolkata to get the approval of the Speaker Don Kupar Roy. The fact however, remain that Danggo has also parted ways with the Congress and is all set to join hands with the National People’s Party (NPP). Therefore, there has been a lot of fuss over the matter. The fact remain that Ranikor would have to elect a representative, which Danggo would himself has to be re-elected. Besides, the Congress the ruling regional party alliance, the United Democratic Party (UDP) has decided to contest and also the People’s Democratic Front (PDF) supremo Pynshngain N. Syiem , who lost his Mawsynram seat to Hima Shangpliang of the Congress. The confidence of Danggo, a veteran all time winner in Ranikor, would face a severe test of strength. Ranikor therefore is all set to become a political melting pot.
