TEMI-TEA start-ups aim for perfect brew

Sikkim’s Temi Tea grew as one of the best tea and in its first flushes tea startups aim for perfect brew for tea connoisseurs in the state and beyond. Making a cuppa is an art, and beverage start-ups in Sikkim know that — they’re looking at profit and taste over growth and expansion as they build Organic brand. Temi is a small sized single tea estate.

The estate has earned a high repute and is certified as a fully organic tea plantation. It carries the memoirs of the Chogyals and the media. TTB was producing tea commercially from the year 1977 with Orthodox black tea. European Countries were the first to export the tea. Spring First flush-an exclusive limited edition brew from lone tea garden of Sikkim is now available in Sikkim market. This season, occasional snowing in the hills of Sikkim has increased the demands of Temi tea. The Temi Tea Garden located in South Sikkim which takes 2 and half hour’s drive from Gangtok. ORGANIC represents Sikkim as Shangrila of Kanchenjunga. It’s rich array of aroma along the four tea seasons of spring, summer, rain and autumn are set to enthral it’s connoisseurs far and wide, informed Mrinalini Shrivastav, MD, Temi Tea Bar.Temi Tea Board was established in the 1969 during the time of late Chogyal (King). In the year 1974, it got separated and was constituted as a separate tea board named as Temi Tea Board(TTB) M. Chamling, Chairman of the board shared while briefing the media. TTB was producing tea commercially from the year 1977 with Orthodox black tea. European Countries were the first to export the tea.
