Assam’s Educational Scenario - THE ENEMY INSIDE

The importance of education in a democratic set up is well known to all of us. But in Assam (perhaps throughout the country) education department is in the most deplorable condition. Corruption prevails from top to bottom. The most corrupt officers, who have a lot of bad name around them, are specially chosen for the education department in the Assam Secretariat.
The department is dominated by the touts and miscreants connected with illegal appointments and other corrupt practices. The Marxists have their own analysis. They say that the bourgeoisie Government does not want an educated proletariat to rise against them. Hence education department is plan-fully, made a handicapped department. I am not a Marxist. So, I abstain from comments.
