During the United States Presidential election campaign, many in India have strongly criticised due to Donald Trump’s very strong remarks on women, Muslims, immigration etc had got lots of people highly disturbed.
This was primarily because of two reasons, firstly, that he was never known for his political views as he had primarily stuck to his business, as a baron. Secondly no one knew about his stance about US foreign policies vis a vis the outside world. It was thought that he was making these statements very randomly and perhaps they would never come on to the board for implementation. However the election of Donald Trump, howsoever unexpected it was, has now got everyone to sit up and take notice of the likely outcome of such policies, should he follow them up, from the viewpoint of each country’s national interests?
