Infantry Day Celebrated 2011

The 64th Infantry Day was recently observed at Shillong on 27th October 2011 commemorating the landing of the first infantry men in Srinagar in 1947 after Pakistan irregular forces invaded independent India. The martyrs were remembered by laying wreaths at the Assam Regimental Centre War Memorial in a ceremony organised by the Assam Regimental Centre on behalf of Headquarter 101 Area.
