Assam University’s 17th Foundation Day

Assam University, Silchar, celebrated it’s17th foundation day recently in the gracious presence of the Chief Guest, the Governor of Meghalaya Ranjeet Shekhar Mooshahary and added another feather in its cap by getting a new medical college for the higher study and research of medical sciences in the region. Speaking on the occasion, the Governor applauded the efforts made by the University to become a role model in higher education.
The daylong function, full of cultural and academic activities was celebrated in Bipin Chandra Paul auditorium of the University.  In order to boost the morale and appreciate the outstanding services of the University employees, the Viswavidyalaya Ratna Award was given to the employees.
