Arunachal Pradesh Celebrates it's 27th Statehood Day
In his message, he thanked the Prime Minister, for his development package which accelerated the pace of development in terms of road communication, air and rail connectivity, basic amenities and important infrastructures leading to the tremendous developmental growth of the state from 2008 onwards. He stated that the period would be written in golden letters as ‘Era of Development’ in the developmental history of Arunachal Pradesh.
He also announced that as part of the Statehood Day celebrations, the state government was also organizing the ‘Festival of Arunachal’ showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the state and affirming their shared commitment for a happier and more prosperous future for India by treasuring their identity as Indians.
On the day of the occasion, a huge crowd gathered at the Indira Gandhi Park to witness the colourful cultural presentations by artist from different parts of the state, air show by Sukhoi fighter jets, dropping of petals by IAF helicopters, weapons display by army, inaugurations of exhibitions stalls and many more, which marked the celebration of the Statehood Day function.
