There was also the distribution of ‘prasad’ at annand Bazar (common kitchen) which started from 11.30 am onwards. To deal with the rush of devotees while distributing the ‘prasad’, two distribution points were set up o the day, one at the premises of Srimata Sankadev Kristri Kendra and the other at Satsang Vihar itself. Prizes for the winners of the games which were organized as part of the celebration were also handed out at the Devakumar memorial hall at Bishnupur where a general meeting was also held later in the afternoon. Discourses on the divine life and ideology of Sri Sri Thakur towards the fulfillment of the needs of humanity were also held during which the appointed speakers said that Sri Sri Thakur is the best fulfiller of the age. He fulfilled the being and becoming of all – both individually and collectively. It was also stated that people from different sects, cults and religious faiths came to him and found fulfillment, a new inspiration and fresh momentum to follow their own traditional culture and prophets. As such, it was stated that Sri Sri Thakur was the embodiment of universal love.
This discourse was followed by the evening prayer session wherein thousands of devotees prayed together and read the divine messages of Sri Sri Thakur in different languages. The cultural programme which followed attracted a sizeable audience who were spellbound by the performances of the artists.
Satsang is a charitable, philanthropic institution of world repute. Satsang aims at achieving perfection in each individual life by establishing a meaningful coordination of the ideal self and environment wherein the consummation of ‘Dharma’ lies. Sri Sri Thakur has a profound message for all which reads – ‘Oh! Mankind! If you desire to invoke your good, forget sectarian conflict. Be regardful to all past prophets, be attached to your living master or God and take those who love Him as your own because all the past prophets are consummated in the divine man of the present’.
