All Degrees of CMJ University are genuine except those done through their Industry Integrated Programme. Industry Integrated Course is basically a corporate sponsored course in Distance Education Mode. Since CMJ is not approved for Distance Courses so it cannot run Industry Integrated Courses. Moreover some courses like PhD, M.Phil and B.Tech as stipulated by UGC are essentially regular mode courses and so these never get approved if done through Industry Integrated/ Distance Education mode.

First of all,why the Governor kept silent for almost 4 years on the appointment of Chancellor.If the proposal of CMJ Foundation for appointing Mr.Jha as Chancellor is not approved, he should have communicated to the state government/CMJ Foundation which he has not done for 4 years.

This raises doubt on the genuity of the allegations made by the Governor.

Meghalaya Government has issued a Show cause notice to the University.The Show Cause notice is for non establishment of Endowment Fund of minimum of Rs.2Crores.

Sharma,legal adviser of University has clarified that the University has already established an endowment fund of Rs.5.65crore.Information is also available in UGC website on the information submitted by the university.

Why this information is not provided in Governor’s note.Is it intentionally hidden?

Moreover,434 PhDs in different specialities over a span of three years(two batches in a year)is quite reasonable and comparable with any university in our country.

Governor has stated that only 10 PhD regular faculties available in university for PhD Programme.PhD is a research programme.As per UGC norms,Guide need not be a regular faculty of the university and an external guide can be a Project Guide for a research scholar to perform the research work.

What is the urgency & necessity of recommendation of the dissolution of the university before the non completion of CID enquiry & non submission of enquiry report ?

There is not even a single valid reason or solid & substantial findings identified till now for the recommendation of the dissolution of university.

Jewel thief Mooshahary who looted hundreds of crores worth jewellery from the antique treasury chest in Governors house made wrong slanderous allegations against the University jeopardizing the future of thousands of students and hundreds of local teachers. The state government headed by Mukul Sangma is also to blame as they are openly taking Rs.5 crores for new private universities to come in the state despite low population. I hope CMJ University is revived in view of the career of thousands of students.
