the girls claim to have been molested and raped by Mr.Wisvan over a period of three years and that he had warned them of dire consequences if they told anyone about what he was doing to them.The girls finally mustered the courage to approach the principal of the school who allegedly tried to hush up the whole matter.Irate over how the revelation of the crime was handled by the principal,some of the girls scaled the school walls and made their way to the Likabali police station where they reported the crime.The news soon spread to the ears of the locals and a mob was soon formed which proceeded to the school premises.West Siang district deputy commissioner Manoj Kumar Sahoo has said that the mob had tried to damage a wall of the school building and had hurled stones at policemen stationed near it.The warden was arrested later in the evening after a complaint of rape was lodged atthe Likabali police station.He was produced in court and remanded in police custody.

The West Siang superintendent had informed that the 14 students that had been examined at the Lakibaki community health centre.Upon examination it was found that the victims had incurred no injury marks or rupture to the hymen.It was also alleged that the findings of the medical examinations have not been made official,stating the need for more than one doctor.Various organizations have all appealed to the authorities not to grant bail to the culprit besides demanding harsh punishment to the offender.
