Assam woman who kissed Rahul Gandhi dies of burn injuries

The woman who kissed Rahul Gandhi during his recent two-day Assam tour has been allegedly burnt to death by her husband after a quarrel over the kissing incident. The reason behind the incident is still unclear as there has been no official confirmation on this and police are still investigating the case.

Rahul Gandhi was recently on a tour across the country campaigning for his party and was welcomed with kisses on his cheek and forehead by women in Jorhat, Assam. Rahul Gandhi, who met more than 600 self help groups and Congress supporters, was interacting with a large group of women when two women came forward and kissed his cheek and forehead respectively. He continued talking and shaking hands with all his supporters and said that the women of the country are capable of holding high office. He also complimented North East women for being brave and talented.
