SBI DONATES SCHOOL BUS TO SNEHALAYA (HOUSE OF LOVE)

State Bank of India, the country’s largest Bank recently donated a school bus to Snehalaya (House of Love), a registered Charitable Trust to enable the organization to provide transport facility to the poor and underprivileged children for their school education.  

Sanjay Kr. Magoo, Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, North Eastern Circle handed over the key of the school bus to Fr. Lukose Cheruvalel, Director of Snehalaya in the presence of Mahendra A. Sahu, General Manager, SBI, N.E.Circle and other senior functionaries of the Bank, Sister Sabina, the mother of the Home, representatives and children of Snehalaya at a function held at the premises of Jyoti Snehalaya, Beltola, Guwahati.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief General Manager said that State Bank of India, the premier Bank of the country has been playing a pivotal role as a socially responsive corporate citizen and contributes extensively towards several social causes.  The CGM appreciated the noble and dedicated service rendered by Snehalaya in providing protection, care and education to the underprivileged children of the society so that as young adults, they can stand on their own feet. Fr. Lukose, Director, Snehalaya, thanked the State Bank authorities for their noble gesture of donating the school bus, which will be very helpful to the students for commuting to their schools.
