Zero turnout for repoll in Lakhuti village

Repoll in five polling stations under 39-Sanis Assembly Constituency of Wokha District of Nagaland reported zero voters’ turnout till the completion of scheduled time.

The recent 95% votes cast is what led to the Congress to file a complaint alleging wide scale proxy voting in the polling stations with the Election Commission of India.

The Returning Officer said that the Election Commission declared the re-poll under sub section (2) of section 58 of the Representation of People Act 1951 that the poll taken on April 9 at the five polling stations to be void. However, the RO Nagaland said that there has been zero voters’ turnout in all the polling stations.
