A Mirrored Image

The much-hyped inroads of the NPF into Arunachal Pradesh through its maiden foray into the Arunachal Pradesh political scene ended with the Nagaland based regional party drawing a blank. In fact, most of its candidates lost their security deposits. The Students’ Union Movement of Arunachal (SUMA) was opposing the entry of NPF tooth and nail but the regional party of Nagaland managed to field its candidates albeit in vain. As for the parliamentary election, seats for Western and Eastern Arunachal were shared equally by INC and BJP with Ninong Ering winning by a margin of 12478 in Arunachal East and Kiren Rijiju winning by a huge margin of 41738 in Arunachal West.
