Five year 11 months Indian Boy Climbs Kalapatthar peak

On 17th October 2014, just 5 year and 11 month old Harshit Saumitra reached the Kalapatthar peak, which is some 200 metres above the base camp of Mount Everest in Nepal. Harshit’s mountaineer father Rajeev claims that his son has set a new world record by becoming the youngest to do so breaking the earlier record set by a 7 year old Indian boy. It took Harshit 10 days to reach 5,554 m high Kalapatthar.
