Patricia Mukhim, Editor of Shillong Times was awarded the O.N.E. India Award 2014 by an NGO called My Home India at a function held at Mumbai. The Convenor of the NGO My Home India is Shri Sunil Deodhar, a prominent social worker with indepth knowledge of North Eastern Region. The Award carries a cash award of Rs. 1,00,000/- besides citation which was presented to her by Shri Kiren Rijiju, The Honourable Union Minister of India. Patricia Mukhim is a Padmashree awardee and is involved with many NGOs. She is also a member of National Security council.

The All India Food Processors’ Association (AIFPA), New Delhi, has awarded Food Technologist from Assam S Bhattacharjee, former Managing Director of NERAMAC Ltd., with the Nagaraja Rao R Jagdale Memorial Award for the year 2013 for his outstanding contribution in the development of food processing industries in the country and north eastern region. The award carries a gold medal and a citation.
