Pearlystone Joshua Marbaniang a happily married man who had been blessed with a child very recently. The youngest among the siblings and also called the wisest among them

Full of transfers known for his honesty and simplicity among friends and family.
Date: 24th January at 9pm Prior Action leading to Situation:
Marbaniang had detained 32 coal laden trucks illegally transporting coal to Assam without any valid documentation. The trucks where plying to Assam via the Mairang-Azara road.
Date: 23rd January:
Sohkyrbam villagers stop 32 coal laden trucks. They photograph the registrations numbers and hand them over to DC and SP of Ri-Bhoi hills. The DC orders the SP to take legal action. SP directs Marbaniang to detain the trucks. The order is carried out. Later on 24th morning truckers meet Marbaniang for releasing of their trucks to which Marbaniang rejects. Some NGO leader also tries in vien.
The Last Calls:
Interestingly Pearly had talked to his wife twice within a space of an hour before he was found lying in a pool of blood inside his police personnel quarter.
7.52 pm Saturday 24th January:
“We had normal conversation and there was no sign that he was depressed,” adding “He (Marbaniang) did mention about too much of pressure workload and the pressure from all sides on him.” Chaleth Pyngrope wife of the P J Marbaniang.
8:45 pm Saturday 24th January:
“Till this time, we were talking normally and he was asking about how are things at home. Few minutes of our conversation, he suddenly told me that he needed to attend one emergency call. After 20 minutes or so, when I tried calling him, his phone was ringing but he never receives my calls anymore.” Chaleth Pyngrope
