Flagged-off the three passenger trains and marked it as a red letter day for the region. The trains comprise - Bhairabi - Silchar, Jiribam - Silchar which brings Mizoram, Manipur into the broad guage passenger railway map of India and the Kmakhya-Katra Express (Weekly) which will connect Guwahati, Assam directly to Jammu & Kashmir.
