An intelligent and efficient way of handling things is mankind’s top priority. In this  age and time we have over powered every other species and have basically laid claim to every possible resource available. This has resulted in us realizing that the once so called infinite resources are actually going to exhaust themselves. If the human story is to continue then smarter and more efficient ways of handling of our resources is needed. Delhi has killed the Great Yamuna, Mumbai has destroyed its surrounding villages; basically every large concentration of our species has resulted in the devastation of its surroundings. 

Smart City is not about flying cars or bullet trains. Nor are they about robots handling our menial jobs as was the case in the Hollywood movie I-Robot but it is more about the efficient managing of our resources. It’s doing what we are already doing in a much better way.
