The image of the ‘Balloonwala’, Lakhi Nath of Nadia, who used to sell balloons to the children by moving around the lanes and by-lanes, continues to haunt the citizens of this town. ‘Balloonwala’ was a popular moving figure and though he left this world a few years ago, a section of guardians who once rushed after hearing his voice to have their choicest colour of balloons have put the children in the forefront to demand the park after his name.
