As many factors are to be considered there is always inordinate delay in the selection of the manuscripts. This session was no exception in the sense that the publishers could not supply the books. Students’ organisation convened a meeting of the publishers. The newly formed Democratic Students Alliance of Manipur wanted to know why it is that the publishers cannot supply the text books even after the session had been started. The students fixed February 15 as the dead line for supplying the next text books. However the publishers pointed out that it was not possible to meet the deadline in view of the crippling power cut downs and non-availability of trained hands in Manipur.
