A peace procession from State Central Library to Khyndai Lad was also organised by the citizens of Shillong. A signature campaign was also organised to denounce terrorism. 

The rally paid tribute to all those who lost their lives in the terror attacks including noted journalist Sabina Saikia Sehgal, the Resident Editor of The Times of India (Delhi edition), who lost her life in the Taj Hotel attacks. 

The SPC also remembered the two slain journalists — Rishikanta Konsam of Imphal Free Press and Jagajit Saikia of Amar Asom, who fell victim to terrorist bullets last month.
