Bodoland Territorial Council Marching ahead Outstanding Achievements
498 Km long black topped and gravel road constructed just in the current financial year.
Rs. 35 crore earmarked for tourism development. Infrastructural development in this sector has brought increasing numbers of domestic and foreign tourists touching figures of 13,406 and 7481 respectively fetching a handsome amount as revenue.
Bodoland Guest House, New Delhi, is providing homely stay to all the visitors.Construction of Bodoland Guest House in Siliguri has been started. Another is coming up in Kolkata very soon. Bodoland Guest Houses at Kokrajhar, Gossaigaon, Chirang, Salbari, Tamulpur, Mushalpur, Udalguri worth Rs. 50 lakhs each ready for construction soon.
Apart from 6 mini – stadiums and 10 rural stadiums, construction of a central stadium at the cost of Rs. 50 crore is in the offing.
45 tractors at 60% subsidy rate and 72 power tillers distributed.

Like Kokrajhar RNB civil hospital, another multi – specialty 200 bedded hospital at Kajalgaon ready for dedicating to the people. Construction of 4 (four) 30 bedded Rural Hospitals at a total cost of Rs. 827.26 lakhs in good progress. Construction of 11 nos Primary Health Centres worth total Rs. 803.54 lakhs completed.
2500 weavers engaged for production of handloom fabrics thereby providing them an earning source.
Construction of water supply schemes at Kokrajhar, Salakati, Kajaigaon, Bijni, Kazigaon, Uttarpara and Bhergaon in good progress.
4 major Flood Protection Schemes worth Rs. 2416.74 lakhs taken up at River Sankosh (Dynamari), Nonoi (Khalongduar), Golondi (Angragaon) and at river Dhansiri. 3 major schemes amounting to Rs. 1056.43 lakhs under Special Plan Allocation for flood and erosion protection have been taken up at River Aie at Ranisundori, Dababil, Chotonilibari area.
Gauhati University, Kokrajhar Campus has become a full fledged Bodoland University. Apart from CIT, another Institution of Technical Education, BB Engineering College, has been established. Classes of the New Technical Education is starting from the current year temporarily at Bodoland University building.
A Knowledge City, in Chirang district is coming up soon. The city will have different professional education – Engineering, Nursing, Management, Law, Bio – Tech, etc.
Steps taken to provide financial assistance to the schools recognised by BTC. Under each MCLA constituency, 2 HE, 5 ME and 10 LP schools will get Rs. 1,27,200/-, Rs. 68,400/- and Rs.24,000/- respectively. Received Rs. 19.56 crore as deficit grants in aid from Central Govt. and UGC. Now, the BTC authority is ready to pay employees of 11 colleges (against whom the money was received) under the UGC scale wef. 1st January, 2009.
