Super cop Sangliana in White House

Ex- BJP Lok Sabha MP, popularly referred to as Mizo Super Cop Dr. Hmar Tlomte Sangliana was amongst 160 International leaders from across the world to be invited to make their presence felt in a breakfast hosted by the new president of the United States of America (USA) Barack Obama at Washington. Sangliana left New Delhi for Washington on February 2. He also attended a grand luncheon hosted by the US Government. Super cop Dr. H. T. Sangliana was also invited to attend a grand supper hosted by President Obama.

Barack Obama was sworn in as the new president of USA on January 20 amidst the presence of world leaders.

H. T. Sangliana is probably the only police officer in the world whose legendary personality has inspired film makers to make at least three films about his service in Karnataka (southern India). It is not surprising that H. T. Sangliana is still remembered for his famous quote, “Fame is the weave of daring exploits and humanitarian deeds.”

In Mizoram, the super cop Dr. Sangliana is highly regarded as the only police officer in record to have filed a case against himself when he once violated the Traffic Regulation imposed by him as the DCP Traffic “My conscience pricked me as I violated the traffic rule. I called a sub- Inspector and dictated an FIR against myself and I was fined,” he was quoted as saying. No wonder then that Sangliana even filed a case against his wife when she once went out with his official car for some personal shopping.
