He also spoke of a parallel additional National Highway connecting West Bengal to Arunachal Pradesh through the foothills of Bhutan which has been sanctioned by the government. This National Highway will pass through all the four districts of the BTC as per the Bodoland Accord.

The Bodoland Artists’ Associatin (BAA) donated Rs. 2 lakhs to the BTC Chief Executive Member’s Relief Fund as aid for the victims of the recent riot in Udalguri and Darrang districts. BAA president Bigrai Brahma handed over a cheque of Rs. 2 lakhs to BTC CEM Hagrama Mohilary at the function held on the occasion of the 7th Bodoland Day at Kokrajhar.
