Elections become more disabled friendly

The Election Commission of India is planning to make the electoral process for the physically challenged friendlier. This decision was taken during the Conference of the Chief Electoral Officers of the country which was held at Shillong.

According to Navin Chawla,during the recently concluded general election the Election Commission had provision for ramps at every polling station for those who use wheel chairs and Braille electronic voting machines for the visually impaired so that the physically challenged are not left out of the electoral process.
