“Party is above Government”-Pawan Chamling
“Party should be run by whole timers,” he said, adding, “Those party members who are engaged in their own business should not aspire to go up in the top echelons of the party.” Reiterating that he is very keen for the development of the state and productivity of skilled manpower, the Chief Minister said, “Those students who after 10+2 do not get admission in any college of the state will be settled in various vocational courses in the state and all their schooling expenses will be borne by the government.”
The state government will also bear the expenses of 10 topper students of class V from each district by providing them admission in T.N.A and other renowned public schools of the state. For students who wish to join foreign universities, the government would provide them interest free loan. “I want to see that 100 per cent of our children become highly capable manpower,” he said.
Dr. Chamling said that for an efficient government, from now onwards, every three years, government officials would get posting so that all people, irrespective of whether rural or urban can get the equal benefit and service from the employees.
He announced a number of time bound projects of the government. In every constituency, he said, there will be one exemplary work.
He further said that the government will shortly buy two 15-seater helicopters for the state and under village action plan, all the villages of the state will be developed at par with the villages of Switzerland with the help of Swiss technocrats..
