Syed Sibtey Razi new Assam Governor

Governor Syed Sibtey Razi was recently sworn in as Governor of Assam.Gauhati High Court Chief Justice J Chelameswar administered the oath of office to him. Governor Syed Sibtey Razi, who was earlier the Governor of Jharkhand, succeeded Shiv Charan Mathur, who passed away on June 25 this year. After the ceremony, Governor Syed Sibtey Razi said his first duty would be to work for the welfare of the people in the state. Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, his cabinet colleagues, Director General of Police G M Srivastava, top army and civil officials and president of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee Bhubaneswar Kalita were present on the occasion.
