Claudia Lyngwa cleared her MPS examinations in 1996 and was inducted into the police force as Deputy Superintendent of Police. Now she is responsible for the Special Operation Team which was established to counter the insurgency movement that held Meghalaya in a grip of fear.
Her extraordinary zeal and sincerity in her duty can be seen through the recognition given to her through the President’s Award which she has received for three consecutive terms. This is but one of the many accolades under her belt which include being the first woman candidate in the MPS. She recently received the President’s Award again which brings her tally to four.
