the most significant objects in this cache of arms were a political map of Assam, and NDFB extortion note books. Army sources said that the recovered political map had red marking on four places in Sonitpur district, namely (1). Balipara,(2) Bhalukpung, (3). Dekargaon, (4). Dhekiajuli. It may be mentioned here that Bhalukpung was where army CO, Col. Perumal including his driver were killed on the 13th of July earlier this year. The railway tracks at Balipara were where 2 IED bombs were recovered on Aug 16th. The militants seemingly plan to hit Dekargaon and Dhekiajuli as was indicated by the markings made on the map. The 27th of September also seems to be the date set for the impending attacks as this date was scrawled on the recovered map. It may be noted here that the festival of Dusheera is going to be held on the 28th of September.

It was mentioned that IED bombs are recovered all the time but this time, the authorities have the added advantage of recovering the detailed map which apparently indicates the upcoming plans of the militants.
