Bodoland Territorial Council

The Bodoland Territorial Council was created under the Sixth Schedule of the Indian Constitution in 2003. Since then, the BTC has taken up various projects which have greatly helped in the development of the region, under the leadership of Hagrama Mohilary, Chief, Bodoland Territorial Council. Some of the ongoing projects under BTC are the Bodofa Cultural Complex at Kokrajhar, the Special Area Game Centre at Kathalguri and  the Assembly Building and Secretariat Building at Kokrajhar. Some of the projects which have been successfully completed are the mini- stadiums at Bijni, Salbari, Tamulpur, Bhergaon, Gossaigaon and Kajigaon, the sub – divisional centres at Tamulpur and Bhergaon, Director of Land Records Building at Kokrajhar. Since its inception, the BTC seems to have been raking in one achievement after the other and this has facilitated the rapid development of the region.
