Abhijeet Bhattacharya

In 1997, the School of Science was set up in Agartala by Abhijeet Bhatacharya.This institution caters to the needs of students who are preparing for various medical and engineering colleges and of course the civil services tests.This year, 30 of the 40 students taught by Mr. Bhatacharya have successfully cleared their civil services examinations. This has led to Mr. Bhatacharya being selected by the Union ministry of human resource development to train candidates belonging to Schedule Caste, Other Backward Classes and religious minority for central civil service exams. Graduating in bio-science in 1992, Mr.Bhatacharya has tried his hand at school teaching and giving private tutions before the brainstorm of setting up the School of Science occured to him. The irony of it all is that less than a decade ago, he had wandered in Agartala, jobless after having failed to clear the Tripura Civil Services.
