Packages Announced

•    Foundation Stone laid for a new Secretariat building, the Pare and Dibang power Projects, the Itanagar water Supply Scheme, Haramuti and Itanagar railway line.
•    A programme for the electrification of all households in Arunachal Pradesh. The project is estimated to cost around Rs 550Crores will ustilize soloar power, micro-hydel projects and also grid based power to cover all villages in the border area and also other villages. The expected time to completion is two years.
•    A new green field airport will be coming up at Itanagar. Airports at Pasighat, Along, Daporijo, Ziro and Tezu will be operationalized.
•    A daily helicopter service between Guwahati and Tawang has been announced.
•    A 2-lane Trans-Arunachal Pradesh Highway will be constructed which wil stretch from Tawang to Mahadevpur, covering 1840kms and costing Rs5500 crores.
•    It is announced that within a stipulated time period of three to four years Itanagar shall be connected with a four lane highway.
•    513 inhabitations will be connected with roads under PMGSY.
•    Naharalagun--Nirjuli drinking water project has been started . Also Rs.77 Crores had been given for the drinking water supply project at Itanagar.
•    Rs 500 crores will be given for the reconstruction of areas damaged by floods.
•    The planning commission is going to give Rs 256 Crores this year for the completion of incomplete projects.
