Dr. Hemanta Biswa Sarma, Health Minister of Assam, while speaking on the occasion said that construction of Engineering College will start very soon and a planetarium worth Rs. 15 to 20 crore will also be built here. He further said that after signing of the Bodoland Accord, the region which he referred to as a ‘golden place’ has seen many changes and development has taken place. The Government of Assam has always supported the BTC and would continue to do so in the future.

Mr. Hagrama Mohilary, Chief of BTC, while speaking on the occasion called upon the people of the region to extend their co-operation to build Bodoland as a prosper region by joining hands together. He also paid homage to the martyrs of the Bodoland movement.
