P. A Sangma in Controversy

Controversy seems to be the name of the game for Purno A Sangma this time around. Recently cleared of the CD controversy, allegations have now surfaced of Mr. Sangma’s withdrawal of an amount of Rs. 1.16,02,500 from the MP Local Area Development Fund after restrictions were announced by the Election Commission.
The allegation came from a few ‘concerned’ citizens of Garo Hills who filed a complaint to the Chief Election Commission office. These citizens namely J Samgma from Williamnagar, D Marak from Baghmara and S Momin from Tura were concerned about Mr. Sangma’s “fraudulent withdrawal of the money.”
