Chief Minister Mr. Tarun Gogoi Our Heartfelt Gratitude to the people of Assam on completion of two years in office

We have completed two years in office today. On this auspicious occasion, I express my heartfelt thanks to the people of Assam, employees, the print and electronic media for reposing trust in us and extending unstinted help and cooperation in our tryst to put Assam on the fast track of progress and development. It is their support that has brought us to power for the second consecutive time, thus creating a new chapter in the annals of electoral battle in Assam. During our seven years at the helm of affairs beginning in May 2001, we have initiated a slew of measures on various fronts, though there remains much to be done.
Our Government ha many plans on the anvil for the socio – economic amelioration of the people especially the weaker and underprivilidged segments of the society in the coming days. Our aim is to wipe out tears from the eyes of the poor and downtrodden and to bring smiles on their faces as dreamt by Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhiji. We will not rest till our avowed goal is achieved.
