Activity mapping of Panchayati Raj

The government, implementing a variety of ways and means is trying to develop the village areas through Panchayati Raj. In the month of June 2007, the government officially granted different powers and activities to the three tiers of Panchayati Raj. This specified the activities of 17 divisions where the responsibility for 23 subjects is defined. The funds required to be sent to the Panchayat for the mapping of all these activities is clearly shown.
The following are the subjects which are in the process of being brought to reality through Activity Mapping:-

2.   Land development and protection
3.  Small irrigation, water and waterfalls
4.  Path, culvert, bridge, water path and other communication
5.    Social Welfare of mentally disabled
6.    Social forestation and forestation of grazing ground
7.    Small forest property
8.    Food production and small industry
9.    Weaving, khadi and house industry
10.    Drinking water provision
11.    Animal food
12.     Animal  and Dairy farms
13.    Electrification
14.    Eradication of poverty
15.    Prime education
16.    Medium education
17.    Old age education
18.    Sports and youth affairs
19.    Hospital, Health centre and health care
20.    Family welfare
21.    Development of women and children
22.    Social welfare of the disabled
23.    Publicity distribution
