KVIC launches employment scheme
1. A credit linked central sector scheme
2. Rs. 25 lakh minimum limit for project / unit under manufacturing sector and Rs. 10 lakh under business / service sector.
3. Minimum educational qualification – VIII pass for manufacturing sector above Rs. 10 lakh and above Rs. 5 lakh for business / service sector.
4. Khasi & V.I Commission (KVIC), Govt. of India will be the single nodal agency for implementation of the scheme at the national level.
5. The scheme will be implemented by State Directorate of KVIC / Meghalaya Khadi & V.I Boards (KVIBs) in rural areas and by District Industries Centres (DICs) in Urban and Rural Areas.
6. Financial institutions – All Public Sector Banks, Regional Rural Banks.
7. Prospective beneficiaries have to submit their application in prescribed format along with project proposal either to KVIC office, KVIB office or DIC offices. They can also submit their application to banks.
8. Dovetailing Credit Guarantee Fund Trust Scheme to help the entrepreneurs for collateral security free loans.
