Fr. Johny has had an illustrious career in education as he has served the sphere of education in many ways. He was a member of the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSe) for two terms and a member of the State Education Policy of Meghalaya. He was a State Level Committee member for revamping education in Meghalaya. He is presently a member of the Governing Board of Pine Mount School and a Managing Committee member of Loreto Convent, Shillong. He is also a former National President of the All India Association of Catholic Schools, New Delhi.
