Besides the new Assembly and Secretariat buildings, two District Centres and four Sub – Divisional Centres were also completed in the headquarters of the newly created districts and sub – divisions. He said that till date, the Ministry of Home Affairs has released a total sum of Rs. 6237.00 lakhs for the development of administrative infrastructure in the BTC area. In addition to the release of funds for the building of administrative infrastructure in the BTC area, the Ministry of Home Affairs has also played a vital role in the implementation of the Bodo Accord by arranging frequent review meetings at Delhi, Guwahati and Kokrajhar.

Chief Mohilary also expressed his extreme gratitude to the Prime Minister of India for sanctioning an amount of Rs. 250 crores in addition to the already sanctioned Rs. 500 crores. He also thanked the Ministry of Home Affairs for playing a vital role in the setting up of the Central Institute of Technology (CIT) at Kokrajhar and the Chief Minister of Assam for facilitating the speedy establishment of Bodoland University, the laying of the foundation stone of the B.B. Engineering College and the 200 Bedded Hospital. Chief Mohilary said that since inception, BTC has identified its priorities for bringing about the speedy development of the area.

Also speaking at the occasion, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said that there is a need for peace in Assam. He said that BTC had, in previous years, gone through a period of darkness. However, today, it is shedding a beacon of light. Though there are yet many problems, all will be overcome, one by one.
