Miss Barak 2010

Assam belles swept the Youth Hope Foundation, Senapati in collaboration with 59 Mountain Brigade sponsored 2nd Seven Sisters Miss Barak 2010 North East India contest recently held at the hill district headquarter of Senapati,60 km north of Manipur’s state capital Imphal.

Assam’s 21 year old Sangita Phukan won the coveted Miss Barak 2010 title. The new Miss Barak title winner went home richer with a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh. An English graduate, Sangita who already has three books to her credit, wants to become an author to highlight the issues prevailing in North East India. She is also planning to participate in the forthcoming NE Famina Miss India contest.
