October 30th Assam Blast Mastermind brought to book
Bangladesh has done it again for India. The government agency in Dhaka had arrested a dreaded tribal insurgent leader of Assam and later handed him over to the Indian security agency.
The Bangladesh government had done the same to Ranjan Daimary, the supreme leader of the banned National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB), as it had many top leaders of United Liberation Front of Assom (ULFA), leading to their finally ending up in Assam police custody.
The only the pre - condition for the talks that Ranjan Daimary has put up is that he must be freed from handcuffs before the peace talks start. The military chief of NDFB (anti-talk faction) even convinced the interrogating Central Bureau of Investigation officials that he would ask his cadre to surrender one and all if the government shows sincerity.
The news of Ranjan Daimary’s arrest in Bangladesh spread like wildfire in the media and has since built up to a point where it is now narrating the events subsequent to his arrest on a daily basis.
Tagged as the mastermind behind many killings and explosions in Assam, Daimary alias D.R. Nabla has been projected as one of the most sought after criminals in the country. Even Interpol had issued a red corner notice against him.
