Go Green Drive in Senapati

In a move to inculcate and instill  collective efforts at generating environmental awareness towards the issue of  global warming, the Maram Students’ Union (MSU) with the help of 59 Mountain Brigade carried out a tree plantation drive in Manipur’s Senapati district recently.

This ‘Go Green Drive’ is a part of MSU’s year long golden jubilee celebration wherein numerous events have been held in the recent past.

Brigadier Anil Chauhan, 59 Mountain Brigade attending the formal inaugural function of the campaign called upon the  younger generation to act locally and think globally to arrest the impact of global warming and climate change.

‘The land does not belong to you, you belong to the land’, MSU, in one of its messages released on the occasion of the tree plantation said. ‘The actions we take today will affect how our children live tomorrow.’
