SMALL PROBLEMS FOR WORLD’S SMALLEST MAN
Khagendra Thapa Magar recently had a run in with Australian police in New South Whales as the car he was in was pulled over by officers who had mistakenly taken him for a child. The officers had mistaken 19 year old Magar whose height is only 26 inches for a child and had pulled the vehicle over for a random breath test and Magar got into a bit of trouble because he was not in a child booster seat. It was only after he produced his passport to prove his age that the officers let him go.
Khagendra is the world’s smallest man and tips the scales at 5kg. Ever since he won the Guinness World Record for the smallest man in the world, he has been travelling the globe.
Khagendra was born with a rare condition known as primordial dwarfism. He however has a very optimistic outlook and says, “I am just happy being who I am. My family loves me just the way I am.” He goes on to say, “I see myself as a unique individual.” Khagendra was in Australia to raise awareness about sex trafficking and to seek donations for his foundation, which supports the disabled and orphaned in Nepal.
