Nagaland’s ‘Disturbed Area’ tag extended

Nagaland was declared a ‘Disturbed Area’ for an additional period of one year under the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, 1958 by the Government of India. The decision was taken in a meeting of the Joint Monitoring Group held to oversee the implementation of Agreed Ground Rules on June 23 at New Delhi.
