Honey sweating sai !
As told by Sudhanshubala, her elder daughter Swayampragyan, who had been to her younger sister’s school, got fascinated with a half done idol of Sai made of plaster-of-Paris sold by the roadside vendors. Swayampragyan brought it to home against the will of her mother Sudhanshubala who never believed in any god other than Lord Jagannath. So, Swayampragyan kept it in her room and then shifted it to an abandoned wooden pedestal kept in the family worship room. One day, when Sudhanshubala went to perform evening rituals of her Lord Jagannath, she found the room spread with some oily liquid that apparently trickled from the pedestal where Sai idol was kept. She shouted and called the tutor of her daughter and other people to see what that was. There everybody found the liquid to be honey which started flowing from the idol of Sai.
Sudhanshubala then took off the idol and washed it thoroughly and kept it at the same place again. Next day morning when she went to the worshipping room, she saw honey dropping from the idol again.
Apprehending that the idol would have been an instrument of conspiracy by some body or a Tantric against her family, Sudhanshubala wanted to give the idol to a nearby Sai temple. But as the temple was closed, she wanted to immerse it. But she couldn’t as some people and Sai devotees insisted to keep it at her home to get the blessings of Sai. But, Sudhanshubala couldn’t still believe it’s something like a miracle of Sai. She was just keeping it under compulsion.
She started treating Sai as her child, her son. There have also been some incidents to make Sudhanshubala believe that Sai takes food in her house, physically!
