Lachit Divas cultural rally

Jitendra Barpatragohain, a well-known historian and lecturer of Namrup College, Assam said "The battle of Saraighat was a united fight of the different ethnic and religious groups of Assam against the mighty Moghuls to protect their motherland and the victory was possible due to their united effort and the exemplary leadership of Lachit Borphukan.” During the Lachit Divas Cultural Rally celebration  homage and respect was paid by various organizaions to the great Ahom General who should be considered among the top rank generals of India.
