ALL QUIET IN THE BATTLE FRONT
There is now a calm and quiet in the battle front of elections. The dust has finally settled down. What have remained are the victorious and the vanquished. None of the political parties however attained the magic figure of thirty out of the total sixty seats. The main contention had been between the two national parties, the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress. Both she parties had gone solo, without any prepoll alliance and bothhave failed to attain the magic figure to cross the thirtymarkout of the total sixty seats. The overall results being a fractured mandate of the electorate. However the regional parties had been given a share of the cake. Yet the outcome being the same, as none of the regional parties could not come close to the magic figure. The result is what is called a hung assembly, as the outcome was hung in a state of suspense.
