This New Year

Ensure your teen’s party is safe….

As the year comes to an end everyone is enthusiastic to party in the New Year, especially teen’s with their own group of buddies. But teen parties can be easily diverted towards the wrong direction ending up in tragedies. So as you look ahead at a new beginning, make sure your teen is safe.

Although for some parents it might appear a normal thing when teens drink. As they might have done a similar thing when they were teens but today the risks are manifold higher. Alcohol has a different impact on a teen as compared to an adult who had learnt to hold his or her drink. Many teens feel like they are practically adults and will be able to handle any situation that may occur at a party. Unfortunately, this is just not the case. It’s easier for teens to take advantage of the situation and slip a date rape drug into their drink. Make sure your teen know hard facts on the increase in crimes against teens and women. Information should be passed to the young teens that are not supposed to drive, and drinking and driving would lead to arrests.

Hair Care during Winter

Girls suffer from multiple problems from split ends to dry frizzy hair during winter season. This happens because of acute dryness caused by sun exposure combined with high speed freezing wind, rain and at times it happens due to frost and snow.

Here are some of the ways to protect your hair from the damage caused by harsh winter.

1. Avoid heating appliances or dryers: - Avoid heating appliances or hair dryers as much as possible. Try using a no peroxide hair colour or low peroxide hair colour.

2. Fighting Dandruff: Winter with little moisture in air makes your scalp flaky and extra dry which causes dandruff. To remove dandruff use lemon juice on your scalp and then massage with the mildly heated oil.

How was your journey from engineering to photography? How much support did you get?

Photography has been my hobby since school days but those days we never thought photography could be a profession. I did my engineering and MBA. Around 2003, I got a break and I got involved into photography with the digital technology. So slightly, I started doing more photography and I fell into wildlife photography. My family, my husband always supports me. Since my childhood I never faced any restriction. Wildlife photography is a tough job especially for females and I am doing it. Whenever I go to national parks, sanctuaries or such places as soon as people see me they get surprised, they are like from where does she comes with those entire camera, lenses but they are very supportive including guide and other people. I get output support also.
